Work folders I sort by, "Date Modified"
Document archive folders I sort by, "Name"
Sequential media such as music I sort by "Track Number."
And other media I sort by, "Name."
Windows, on the other hand chooses to decide for me randomly. When I open a folder, Windows thinks, "Oh, there's a few MP3s in this folder, so I'll just ASSume it's a music folder and re-arrange it by track number." There are other similar examples.
How can I get Windows to keep my preferences per folder? Making the .ini file read-only doesn't work.
Windows Vista Premium. (Same problems in XP as well.)
