Scenario:
Take a PC that is not a member of the domain, have it try to access a file share on a domain PC; eg start -> run -> \\domain_PC_ip_address
The pc prompts for your domain username and password, you enter the credentials and login.
However, that password prompt takes forever to appear, 30 seconds or more. Once the prompt appears, you can enter your credentials and access the file share just fine. Everything works properly, except that huge delay waiting for the password prompt.
If it matters, both PCs are windows 7.
I've seen this issue for years, not just with windows 7. Anyone familiar with this and can shed some light on a solution?
