Windows File Copying Size Limitation?

I'm trying to copy 3gigs of itunes songs that I've backed up to my server to my laptop. I'm trying to do this wireless, and it keeps erroring out saying the file blabla.bla is no longer available. I've tried this several times. I'm copying the files from a Win2k3 server that i have in my house onto my laptop that is running WinXP Pro. When I'm on Wireless it errors out, but when I'm plugged into my switch, everything is fine.

Is there some weird windows XP issue when copying files over the air?

More probably something to do with packets dropping or the signal going up and down.

Wireless is not the best for large file transfers...a whole bunch of variables are added when you through a wifi connection between a large transfer.

What are you using to copy, drag and drop? I would suggest using a tool for large/numerous files such as robocopy.

Wifi is not good for copying atall, i have problems with it aswell. its nothing to do with windows server i think its more your wireless adapter and access point.

Agreed. Use Robocopy for the win!
