Windows Explorer keeps resizing to default size, very annoying, please HELP! (pics)

I've had this problem for quite a while now and it's very annoying, I dont know if anyone else has it because it always happens to me. Heres the story, my windows explorer used to remember the size it was closed at, so next time when I open it, it will open the way I closed it, similar to IE. but after several months of using my computer, out of randomness, 50% of the time when I open windows explorer, it's resizes to this small window, WTF!! The only way I "fixed" it was by reformatting, then using it for a few months and later it would occur... anyone know how to fix this?? it's so annoying to drag and resize the damn window everytime I open it, and I use windows explorer like 50 times a day.

I *never* use explorer... I've got no idea what people do with it to be honest.

Anyhow, if the window behaves like most other windows... close all your IE, file and explorer windows. Open a single explorer window. Resize it to the desired size. Hold shift and click the red cross to close it.

Reopen it and it should stay that size...
