Windows Easy Transfer

I used it when moving from Vista Ultimate to Win7 Pro. Worked quite nice for my needs as it moved my docs, photos, music, etc. Moving your data files is really what it is about. You'll still need to re-install programs. I had a few videos in untypical locations that I think it missed but I think that was about it. I recommend using it.
 
Moving programs isn't an issue, bigger concern is things like %appdata% tree and other user bits.
 
Well it's been a while but I seem to remember it transferring all of my user profile info as well as IE bookmarks. Since I use Opera as my main browser, I went ahead and exported my bookmarks prior to the transfer.
