Windows doesn't see my DVD burner

Ok, the newest pain, when I booted my pc up tonight my Plextor PX-708A doesn't show up in Windows XP Pro. It shows up in the bios and when the pc is booting, but nothing in Windows.

Any suggestions as to why it will not show up in Windows, but will in the bios?

Go to Device Manager, delete the IDE channels, reboot. Let Windows redetect everything, the channels and the devices connected to them.

Got it working...didn't really do anything other than unplug it and plug it back in. Strange.
