windows doesnt recognize HD but...

alright well the HD was orginally in a BUSLINK external drive and one day the drive wasnt recognized..so i did a little online research and came up with nothing, so what i did was remove the WD caviar 200gig drive and installed it on a IDE cable to see if maybe it was the external housing itself..well windows still wouldnt recognize the drive. but the problem here is that confuses me is that BIOS recognizes it and if i go under disc properties its also listed there..but otherwise i cant find any icons to access it. the drive runs smoothly without any unusual noises..i also ran a program called HD regenerator that i notice a gentlemen on here recommended and it took 13hrs for the demo version to scan 120gigs of the drive without any bad/recoverable sectors..i stopped the process cause i needed to check my email..neways any input will be greatly appreciated!! i got alot of important/memorable/personal items on this drive and it means alot to me =)

im also noticing that the drive isnt lettered..and it does show the proper amount of disk space the drive had left..guess im slightly excited to see the priceless items stored on it are not deleted.
 
Do you know if it was set as a Dynamic Disk or not? I ask that since the drive letter doesn't appear but you say it has data on it. If it is Dynamic, you might have to right-click it and do an "import". I would by no means try to initialize it or format it to prevent the loss of your data. If it's not dynamic, I'm not sure myself what else you could do beyond trying to use a program like GetDataBack to recover the files to another drive and reformat it. I sent you a PM as well.
