When setting up partitions using the windows disk manager which side is the outer edge of the platters left or right? I am setting up a swap partition on a seperate drive and am not sure which side of the picture is inside and which is outside of the drive. If I had to guess it would be the right side is closer to the edge, but with Windows tools one never knows for sure...

Heh, glad I asked. I would have put it in the worst place if I hadn't
And thanks

well it makes sense unless your used to Arabic, Hebrew, Farsi ect
where text is read right to left

youd "write" from left to right if it was a peice of paper
and disks are written form the highest performance area to the lowest
(out to in) thus it correlates, but it does make me wonder about Arabic Versions of Disk Management :p
must be some special instructions as it would be counter intuitive

of course without that important peice of info regarding the outer to inner writing of a HDD...
