I installed a new drive the other day to find that it will not show up in windows 7, but the drive shows up clearly in the list of drives via bios.

Windows can't see HD, but BIOS can?

Does it show up in disk manager?

You probably need to format it
Right click 'My Computer', choose 'manage', under 'Storage', choose Disk Management. You may or may not be prompted about a disk. Either way, find the drive that has no partition, right click on the free space and create a Simple Volume.
