Hi there,
I have Windows XP Pro (SP2) along with Slackware and FreeBSD on this system. Its a fresh install. My only problem is, im trying to optimize my windows but at boot (the logo and bar), there is a 3 seconds or so where the bar is spinnin but the system isnt doing anything. Ideas? I tried using bootvis to eliminate it but was unsuccessful. Check my signature for my system specs. Thanks,
-Kevin

Don't act like you dont want your system to be as effiecent as possible :p. My old system with sp1 (athlon xp 2100+, 768 ram, 40 gig ram) didn't have this pause. Which leads me to believe this is a problem that can be delt with.

download "bootvis"...it deals with faster start up and shut downs....ironic though b/c it adds a process to the boot list, hah! oh well...
