windows 98/ME emulation on 2k/XP

i want to run some old software on my win2k box (XP is also acceptable) but it refuses to install on it
the software is digidesign Protools Free
ive tried using compatability mode and a couple other tricks i know so far no luck

is there a way to fake win98 ? i looked into virtual pc 2004 but its not gonna work 9still requires you install win98)

If it needs to be installed on Win98, it will work in Virtual PC 2004, if you load Win98 as your Virtual PC.
