That said, wow, what has really changed in 2 years since 8 came out, other than the new Start Menu? Otherwise it looks almost the same as 8. I don't expect that the core Windows engineering team were the ones writing a Metro Calculator.
Looks neat. I think they are going in the right direction. But I keep in mind that Windows 8 Technical Preview and Windows 8 release changed quite a bit regarding Start.
I expect Windows 9 preview and release to continue changing.

They've been around since the mid 90s I think, if not earlier. I've never heard of a linux system without the workspaces feature, though it often isn't enabled by default. Even back then, ram was cheaper than another monitor and took up less space on your desktop[U]ber|Noob;1041089736 said:Wow hasn't virtual desktop already been on a lot of linux distros for ages?
