When windows 8 come out. I would like to know if their coming out with windows 8 ultimate because I've been reading some sites and they are not going to make tons of different windows like 7 and the previous ones.

I heard from other sites their not making ultimate but just pro that acts like ultimate now. Just wanted to make sure if this is true or not.

Indeed there are only 3 consumer versions:

Windows 8
Windows 8 RT (arm tablet)
Windows 8 Pro

and one enterprise version:
Windows 8 Enterprise

Why would they do that, this is horrible.

Whats the different between pro and enterprise?

Is one better then the other?

Enterprise is for Volume Licensing customers only. The highest version you can buy for home PC's is Pro.

Pro will have almost everything that 7 Ultimate had (minus the enterprise level features that Ultimate & Enterprise once shared in 7).

Probably the only thing that would matter to any number of people that's in the Enterprise Version of 8 vs Pro is Windows To Go, that's a VERY cool feature that should be in all version of Windows 8 IMO. The other features really only matter I think if you're running Windows domains But the great thing that's being bought to the masses is App Locker, that's a great capability and makes locking down a Windows machine child's play, I think is was only in the Enterprise and Ultimate versions on Windows 7.

I saw a few live demos of Windows to Go at TechEd NA 2012 & I was very impressed. I agree that it should be a standard feature across the platform.
