So with windows 8 coming out I have seen several notes saying that Windows 8 would support native stereoscopic 3D, bypassing the need for applications like TriDef, iZ3D and Nvidia's own app
Anyone seen a more descriptive response on what this entails exactly? I ask as I used to have two ATI 6970s in Crossfire with a Samsung S23A750D monitor and loved gaming in 3D, But ended up getting a GTX 690 and now my 3D options are limited to Side By Side which looks like ass compared to Frame Sequential... I really don't want to have to get a new monitor (even though a larger one would be nice) since I absolutely love the motion and colors on this monitor so far.
I'm sure that what will end up happening is the Developer of a Game would have to have 3D support options built in to games much like Battlefield 3 does now, but I'm hoping it goes further than that.
Just seeing what others have read or seen on this subject, as well as to get others opinions.
