Windows 8 - Keep Metro Start from minimizing?

I'm loving the new Metro start page but I want it to remain maximized no matter what. It minimizes whenever I start a program. This gets really annoying since im on a dual monitor setup

How do I keep it from minimizing
 
I use a multi-monitor setup, and the Metro menu will always minimize if you change focus to another monitor. I havn't found a way to disable that. But just hit the "Windows Key" to bring it back up. I noticed though, that if a metro app is open and has focus, it wont minimize if you move to a different monitor.
 
Yeah I been reading more about it and you're right doesn't seem possible at this moment.

Its a shame since I love the new tiles but they are worthless when minimized all the time
 
Agreed, it needs to have a feature to keep it open at all times. There will probably be some third-party hack, or Microsoft might even include that feature in future updates.
 
I'd like to keep the start screen up....but on my second monitor
