Windows 7 x64 Host, VM's won't recognize Intel Virtualization

Ok, so for the first time in Windows 7 x64 I'm trying to run a 64bit Guest OS in both VirtualBox and VMware. Neither of which wants to recognize that I have Intel Virtualization to allow 64bit guests. I've double checked my BIOS and the feature is still enabled.

In fact, before installing Windows 7 x64 I tested it in a Virtual Machine within Vista x64, so I know this SHOULD be working. I even installed the newest Chipset drivers.

Any recommendations?

Check you BIOS and make sure that No Exceute Bit is enabled.

Yup, both No Execute Bit and Virtualization Technology are Enabled.

Someone on the VirtualBox Forums saved the day:

Reboot the Host and go into the BIOS
disable vt-x, save BIOS settings, pause machine after bios boot messages
power down the Host (unplug power cord!)
start the Host and go into the BIOS
enable vt-x, save BIOS settings, pause machine after bios boot messages
power down the Host (unplug power cord!)
Boot the Host.

wow.. I would add to the end of the list of recommended actions: replace shitty motherboard. Is this on your IP35 Pro? If so, I suppose i will never own one of those, even if I can find it cheap (I have always wanted one).

you shouldn't have to go through that to get vt enabled.
