windows 7 + wow?

Something ive noticed and im curious if anyone else has had this problem or can fix it.

Im using windows 7 with an i7,12gb ram, 4870x....

when i tab out of wow and back in the gfx card will go from 5 fps to 60 but it takes a couple of seconds

this did not happen with xp or vista.. anyone have ideas? Running all of the newest drivers and windows 7 version 7229

I dunno, I rarely alt tab but I've noticed it takes about 5-10 seconds sometimes to load back into game so I try not to do it... Sometimes my AV pops up which is annoying but other than that i have another PC on my right so I game in full screen..

My frame rate is pretty steady at 100FPS but im a low level and havent gotten to the insane areas yet, i've seen it dip to 80s so far but im sure itll get lower the more crowded and busy places i go..

Runs fine on the rig in my sig. I alt tab out constantly without any issues.
More than likely its your graphics card throttling from 3d to 2d mode and back when you tab out.

I'm not using an i7 setup, running the specs in my sig and have no frame drop and tabs in and out no differently than Vista did.

I had this start happening recently (Vista 64). I disabled my add-ons and it stopped, but I've been too lazy to figure out exactly which one is causing it. Probably GearScore or QuestHelper...

I had this problem prior to the 3.1 patch, but haven't had it since.
