Windows 7, SSD, and RAID0.

Dunno how true any of this is (other than the Z77 chipset supporting SSD RAID0) but I was told that Windows 7 actually installs with different settings (and possibly drivers?) if installed on a SSD rather than a HDD in order to optimize it for SSD use.

First of all, is that true?

And second, I have a motherboard that supports TRIM over RAID0, would Windows 7 SP1 notice this RAID0 is made up of SSDs and install with these SSD-optimized settings, it would it be confused to see a RAID and assume its made up of HDDs?

Windows 7 will enable TRIM if it detects an SSD. It will also disable Superfetch if it detects your hard drive is an SSD and is fast enough to not need it (using the WEI score).

As for RAID0 Trim, your motherboard EFI needs the RST OPROM that supports that as well as the 11.6 drivers. If you post your motherboard model in the motherboard sub-forum the guys in there would be able to answer that better.
