I was thinking about getting window 7 starter edition, since I think I can live with only having 3 programs open at once. However, does anybody know where the best and cheapest place I can buy it at online? And should I even upgrade? All I use this computer for is the web and sometimes music. Basic stuff. Let me know what you all think. Thanks!

First of all, i'm pretty sure you can't even buy the Starter edition... no idea why you would want to anyway. Go to Newegg and buy it.

O, and imagine that the upgrade option doesn't exist and go from there.

IIRC, They removed the three-programs-at-once limitation. I don't think you can purchase 7 Starter edition directly. It only comes pre-installed with new computers.

7 Home Premium OEM is $105 at Newegg. I would go for that if possible. What are you using now?

1) The 3-program limit doesn't exist
2) Starter isn't for sale to end users in developed countries. You want Home Premium.
3) Yes, it's worth the upgrade
