Windows 7 print spooler service stopping for no reason (printers disappear)

any idea what would cause print spooler in windows 7 to just stop?

seems to happen after a period of time or after a print job successfully goes through.

Check your event logs.

If I had to guess, I'd say shitty print drivers.

i updated printer drivers, still no luck.

whats weird is that i did the same install process on about a dozen other computers, no problem

Did you check the event logs? You should see an entry where the spooler stopped. Look back a bit and see if anything jumps out.

Also, take that time and compare it to entries in the other logs to see if something happened just before the spooler crashed.
