Windows 7 Freezing

I have been having an issue with Windows 7 RC locking up on occasion. I have a Pentium d 930 with 2 gigs ram, and 2x 7900 gs. The computer freezes up for 10-15 mins and then resumes working by itself. Any help in fixing the problem would be appreciated.
 
have you done any troubleshooting?
drivers up to date?
virus scan?
overclocked at all?
 
Yeah it is up to date and I have been using a virus scanner. The cpu is not overclocked.
 
Do you have any SD card readers? If you have any USB readers check and make sure that you have the latest drivers for them. Realtek is a very popular vendor in this space and I have noticed some freezing on a system that stopped once the Realtek USB 2.0 card reader drivers were installed.
 
This is also the same reaction I got when I hotswapped devices without having the AHCI turned on.
 
Well try starting by pulling out any peripherals that you don't need and run with the absolute bare minimal setup. This includes anything plugged into the system and card readers etc. Strip down to Motherboard, memory, cpu, 1 video and power, nothing else, no extra drives, no sound card, no card readers/externals/printers. See if it still does it.
 
Interesting that this comes up with the RC and not a slightly more unstable beta. I've had a beta build since last march and haven't had any problems like this.

Does it lock up while not in use, and you try to get back on and it's frozen?

Or does it just lock up whenever your using it?
 
It locks up when I am using it, often time for around 10 mins. The weird thing is that if I am watching any video the player acts as if it was working the whole time.
