Anyone else had trouble with Conexant High Def Audio drivers and Windows 7?

I upgraded my cousin's laptop to Windows 7 and everything works great except a few things with her onboard sound.

It is a Compaq v3000 - rm666av

- When you hibernate the laptop, sound does not work after resume
- When you plug headphones in jack onboard speakers do not mute

Drivers from HP's website will not install, tried various versions and drivers from a variety of laptops with same Audio chipset.

Unless anyone here knows of a solution I guess we must play the waiting game to see if anything comes out or get a USB/pcmcia sound card.

The drivers from windows update are whats installed now. The audio sounds fine but the problems above are what exist with those drivers.

Yep already has latest.

I am 90% sure its a driver related issue but so far Conexant and the laptop manufacturers have yet to mention anything about Windows 7 support.

Check the hardware id, maybe, the realtek hd driver supports that conexant model.
