Go to Hardware and Sounds -> Power Options in the Control Panel. You should be able to get to the same applet by clicking on the battery icon and then selecting "More power options".
I know how to get to additional power options as you mentioned, but I would like for more than two power plans (Balanced and School) to show up in the single-click menu... Is this even possible?
When I switch to high performance, it then gives me the option of high performance or balanced, not sure if you can get school and high performance to show at the same time.
