I have an AMD-64, and i figured i'd give a whirl at the 64b Beta OS.

Few questions (probably bluntly obvoius, but i dont want to take chances :) )

-If i install it, it wont take-over my XP pro will it?
-Do i have a choice in log-in or something to pick wheather to boot in 64b XP or my XP pro?
-If i scrap it, i can just uninstall it and have all my stuff/settings on my original XP pro correct?

Thanks for the questions...again, my PC is only a few weeks old...dont wanna bork it up :D

yes too all of them is correct

just make another partition that is like 10gbs or something and install xp-64 bit edition on that.

then when you boot up you will have the option to go normal or xp-64 bit

The answer is yes to your questions, if your intending to set up a dual boot config. If not, then the answer to your questions will change.

I just installed it, and, my chat services do not work, trillian, or, msn, I noticed that when winamp wanted to connect to the net, it had a could not create socket error, my nvida firewall does not work either....arg...
