I just got hit with the latest big Win10 update last week... and since then, Win10 has gone insane about login security! I don't WANT to have to type in a login password every time I boot up or the system goes out of hibernation!

Before, you used to be able to bypass this - either by Settings/Accounts/ 'Never require Login' or in Control Panel/User Accounts setting password to null... not any more!

I've even tried registry edits, but nothing works - any ideas?

Great news if true. MS has always been far to lax on security.

remove your password and it wont ask for one. all systems I have here are right up to date and log on fine though, even the insider im on now. or try running netplwiz and untick the require password box under your account.

I'm trying to understand the order of operations here.

You were on some pre-1803 build of Windows 10.
At that time, you had no login password.
The upgrade occurred.
At this point, something happened.

What was the 'something'? Did it ask you to create a password? Was it worded like it was mandatory?

I do know 1803 wants security questions. They are avoidable by just not having a password.
