This Idea hit me while I was doing some research for a religous themed case I'm going to do. Stained glass in the case window. I've never done stained glass before for anything and I've never seen it on a case as of yet. I'm sure somebody out there has done one or has a pic of a case with stained glass and I'm not talking about plexi painted to looked stained but real stained glass. I'm not sure how you would attach it to the case but there's most likely a way to do it. I'm not commited to doing something like this just yet but may consider it if I can find something like a kit that I could try out.

There are several ways you could do it. The first two that come to mind would be to make the stained glass a bit bigger than the window and drill come holes at the corners and use little bolts to hold it in place (mount glass on the inside of the door for a cleaner look.

Or get some really strong adhesive and glue the glass on the inside of the door.

I know I've seen at least one mod with stained glass before. I do stained glass now and again, and it does take some practice. As far as mounting it goes, you could probably solder it to the inside of the case, or mounting it with some u-channel of a sort.

i'd be afraid of drilling holes in glass, i'd probably go with glue or something, or putting some sort of holding mechanism in place under the glass so it wont fall, with the glue ofcourse

as for making/using stained glass i got nowhere to start, except i know glass is alot heavier then plexiglass:/

You could use an L bracket to hold it in place on the bottom, with the ledge portion on top. As far as how to do it, I'd suggest finding a local shop and see if you can get some lessons. Or, you could have them build the panel for you.
