Im tossing some ideas around in my head for a case mod and i was wondering if any one has had any window etching done.If so is it easy to paint. Bcause I want the eched picture to stand out. :D

If you wanted the etch to be 1 color, you could just mix some dye in with that etching paste, and use that. Etching paste from a hobby store....

Check with the guys at pc mod shop . They used to sell an etched window that had a bright led light on the edge of the plastic, that would really make the etched area stand out.

They're busy rebuilding/redesigning their site, so don't have that page up right now, but if you e-mail them, they'll get back to you with info and prices. The nice thing is that they'll etch any design you want (within reason.....they are in Utah! :p ), if you just e-mail them a drawing.

That would make your etched window look a LOT better than painting it, IMHO.

Just use some LEDs, put them to the side of the windows, and any light will be internally reflected (invisible) till it hits the etching, then when it hits the etching, it is refracted (i.e. It lights up)
