Window bolts?

What bolts do windows use and where do I get them? Sort of like.. how do I bolt windows? Blah bad rephrase of question. Basically frozencpu and performancepc sell rubber window molding and custom pre-built bolt on window panels, but I'd like to make my own w/o using (ugly) rubber molding. Ideally I'd like the bolts to be lower profile (not the frozencpu big arse type). Once I get the tools do I just drill holes into the acrylic window and panel, then screw/bolt/w/e them together? Something like http://www.hardforum.com/showthread.php?t=931501 but with black bolts.

1/4"-1/2" long screws with acorn nuts. Put the screw on the inside with the acorn nut on the outside. If you're careful, you can even get the acorn nuts to line up all nice and straight.

I think your looking for button head screws I bought a few R/c car screw kits from Tony

My local sears carries button head screws check home depot or lowes if you have one close by

Yes button heads! And then behind the panel I'm assuming I screw it in tight with a nut?

Gold anodized aluminum 1/4-20 button cap screws, this is what I used in my first case mod, sadly I do not have any pics. I got the screws from a local hobby shop, they were designed for R/C car stuff.

unless you think it looks good dont waste you time and money just get some good 2sided tape like car trim tape and you set looks alot cleaner too.

Thanks for the input, I do intend to move the comp around occasionally on cross-border trips so the tape might not work so well although it does look clean. Wrecking my case because of newbness is also a big factor on my attempt at windows.. but gotta break something something to make something :X

Or you could just epoxy the window to the case. I've done that before and it looks fine.

I have in my head the window being outside of the panel (unless acrylic windows are pig-fat thick.. are they? Might have to reconsider lots of stuff if so...) so I'm guessing epoxy and tape wouldn't work so well?

Why do you want it to be on the outside? IMO it looks better when its inside.

I would also use some flat washers along with the Teflon lock nuts
