I have an Asus Vento 3600 case, and i don't know if its because of all the stuff i have in it, or if the case just has that bad of cooling, but i noticed dramatic slow-downs when my temps get above 53C.
Anyway, this fall i started opening my window to cool down, and what do you know, my computer works better too! But now(in MN) its starting to get a lot cooler, so i decided to create a "Wind Tunnel" to get cool air to my PC and keep me a little warmer too. Here it is(mind you, its a temporary solution till i get a Lian Li):

I used a Antec Tri-cool fan, and some foam board i had. I had to make a hole for the fan speed adjuster and the wires to go through, and just strung it to my computers un-used floppy drive, using a splitter for extra length. I found the metal tube at the hardware store. Also, not in picture is a dust filter to limit PC dust.
The reason i made this post, is im looking to make the power cord external from my case. I want to be able to plug it into a wall socket, so that it could look nicer, and run longer than my computer, so that rebooting will help cool it more.
How would i do this?
Also, this winter, if i had this thing going when there is snow and such, would there be a problem with the humidity(warming cold air)?
Any way i could help this?
THANKS
