i have 2 sticks corsair xms pc 3500 512mb each there the winbond chips bh5 what voltage should i run them @ my board only goes to 2.8v??? Im upgrading mobos and hopefully they will have higher mem voltages any suggestions foir a new board socket 478 and needs to be an awsome o/cer

the only boards that have awesome voltage controlls are dfi, and those are only the good amd ones. your gonna hafta do a voltmod on the vdimm inorder to get that bh-5 to do anything good.

or you could get the OCZ DDR-Booster.

Also, Sapphire will be coming out with a board to rival the voltage and overclocking features of DFI soon. It will use the RS480 chipset.

pick up a ddr booster then from OCZ. it gives up to 3.9v's and will let you give that bh-5 all the volts it wants. just actively cool that ram, or you can sell it, cause old bh-5 will fetch some decent cash these days.

But its so much fun :p

heh, i volt modded mine over the weekend, and i gotta say it was far from fun :)

400 degree soldering irons next to motherboards makes me nervous, but then again it was fine anyhow so so be it.
