Win7: "Windows Performing Slowly" Msg?

I just got the pop-up window stating that, "Windows has detected your computer's performance is slow." etc. ...seriously?

I was multi-tasking, playing Crysis, VLC music player in background with FF open for my email. Nothing I haven't done before on my previous dual-core system.

I've never gotten this before on my previous system:
E8600 (3.33GHz), ASUS Rampage Formula, 4GB DDR2, GTX 280.

My current system I just got this msg on:
i7 950 (3.07GHz), 6GB DDR3 in triple channel, Gigabyte X58 UD5 (F7 BIOS), XFX 5870.

Both 1920x1200 res.

Moving from dual to quad core, more RAM and DDR3 to boot, and I get this msg? Seriously?

Since I didn't get it on my other system (which is still up and active in another case) why would I get this now? Does Win Aero skin really take up that much allotted mem?

As it suggested, moving to another Win theme due to it possibly hindering performance, which I find impossible to be the case, since this system should crush my other one, especially when multi-tasking.

Any help appreciated.
 
if you are playing a game in a window then it makes aero have problems, so it will turn off aero for the duration of the game.
