Hey guys,

Can you guys give me a install guide for dummies version of how to do this properly? Or do you have a link that explains this clearly?

So far I have win7 as an iso.
I have a flash drive.

But the rest of it gets a little confusing and I don't want to mess this stuff up.

Before I install the OS I want to enable AHCI for my SSD as well correct?

Download Rufus and double click it, insert usb jumpdrive, on rufus click on the disk/iso icon and point to your dvd or downloaded .iso of windows, click start and let id do its magic and it should be done in a few minutes.

Another vote for the Microsoft USB/DVD download tool
It's idiot proof.. Works for Windows 8 and Windows 2008 Server as well

1. Format the USB as NTFS
2. Mount the Windows iso using VCD or whatever
3. Copy everything from the mounted iso to the USB stick
4. Install

When I downloaded Win8 I had it make the USB install and dloaded the DVD ISO too.
