I know Windows 2000, XP and Win7 doesn't use AUTOEXC.BAT or CONFIG.SYS.
with Win2k I put autoexec.bat to the "Startup" folder that runs and set up the enviroments (ex. paths to folders). now every time I start a command prompt. it has those environments. basically the envir setting stays persistant.
with WIN7. I do that but the envir setting doesn't stay. now every time I start the command prompt I have to manually run the autoexec.bat to setup the enviromnet.
PITA .. is there a way to keep the setting across ALL my command prompt sessions?
