Win7 LIcensing Questions

Finding where to post this is tricky so I will start here. I keep reading Windows 7 requires a KMS server. Is this only for certain versions?

Do OEM copies of Win 7 that comes with Dell machines require a KMS?
Can we convert licenses from KMS to MAK?

for volume licensing ONLY... win7 enterprise only
25 activations and up require KMS
anything below uses MAK keys keys keys

OEM installs should just use the key on the COA... if you want to do imaged rollouts that might be annoying....
