Win7 64-bit Creative X-Fi Drivers Hard Locking System

Anyone else experiencing this? It is especially noticable after I open the Creative Audio Control Panel and start modifying the setting. A few minutes later or sometimes in the process, the system hard locks. Otherwise the drivers are generally stable..

Anyone know if there are any leaked drivers floating around I can use instead?

I haven't experienced this with my X-Fi fatal1ty and win7 x64.

Not had any issues either with Win7 64 and my X-Fi.

I think there used to be some third party creative drivers from kX? or xK or something like that.

I've been using Daniel K's support pack 2.0 without any issue, on Windows 7 x64, maybe give it a shot?

No issues with Xfi PCIe in 7 x64 yet.

I am using Creative drivers 6.0.1.1347 as viewed in device manager. File is XFTI_PCDRV_LB_2_17_0007.exe.

I specifically have ignored that xfi driver that keeps showing up in windows update.

I did just run the creative updater and it says there is no driver update available. Did you check the updater?
