Hey guys, first time posting here - hope someone can help me.

Is anyone familiar with using 'netsh' from the command line in Win2k/XP? I'd like to be able to write a script that will let me enable or disable a Network Connection.
I've used it to switch a connection between DHCP and static before, but I can't seem to get the syntax right for this. I read somewhere it may only apply to Dial-up conections.

Thanks in advance!

Hey I answered my own question, with enough looking - http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=311272 explains the DevCon utility, which is a CLI replacement for Device Manager.

I guess even though 'netsh' can manipulate network connections you actually are disabling the device [the network adapter] when you disable your 'Local Area Connection'.

BTW, thanks for the warm welcome; it brings a tear to my eye, really :D

jk - hopefully I can lurk less and post more; as long as I've been reading the main [H]ard page, I never thought to check out the forums.
