So I have the generic microsoft driver with Win10. Is there a Samsung PM953 driver that is better/faster? This doesn't boot as fast as I expected. It actually seems slower than the crucial MX500 it replaced.

Im assuming that you have the SATA PM953. Its might not be faster than the MX500. From what I have seen in the few benchmarks I've found, they are about on par with the Samsung 950 EVO. Its hard to find anything about them though since the PM953 came in all kinds of form factors from sata to m.2 to some enterprise sas. They are enterprise solutions made for reliability.

Thought I had read some time ago that these are all considered OEM-type drives and didn't have publicly available drivers for them. Not sure if that has changed.
