What's this a beta patch? Anyone install it and can tell me if it is safe or not?
 
It's the new way of doing stuff.

It's some patches. In a file. You need them. It does not matter if you think you need them or not.

Yea, I read that already but it says Preview
and not final so am thinking it is a beta of what we will get next month.
 
I don't know what kind of answer you expect or what qualifications you'll demand from anyone that tries to offer up an answer.

Having absolutely no qualifications whatsoever (I do not work for MS on the Windows engineering team) I can only throw a guess that since they already had a monthly update on the 11th, this is a "preview" of the monthly rollup coming in November, aka MS's clever way of doing an out-of-band update when they clearly said they were switching to a monthly cycle.
 
I just want to know if they have caused anyone any issues. But I will go ahead and install them and find out for myself.
