Win 7 x64 Virtual PC Run Win 7 in VM

I am currently running Windows 7 x64 RC on my desktop. I have added the Virtual PC beta and successfully loaded the XP VM.

What I would like to do is load a Windows 7 RC VM within so I can test for use on my HTPC.

I have setup a base VM with 1GB of RAM. When I try to install Win 7 RC from DVD, I am getting the following:

Status 0xc000035a

Info Attempting to load a 64bit application, however this CPU is not compatible with 64bit mode.

SOLVED: Tried feeding the VM the x64 disc. DOH! Downloading 32bit now.
 
I think you accidentally this thread.

So you are nesting 7 32bit inside the virtual XP?

Why?
 
I want to test using Win 7 on my HTPC, rather than bust my desktop install or break my HTPC.
 
so how does running a virtual install of 7 inside a virtual install of xp test your HTPC?
 
The last question is still relevant: how does running Windows 7 inside Windows 7 have anything to do with testing an HTPC?
 
So why not do this on your main machine? You said yourself its running Windows 7.
