I think it will start to get really annoying first, like shutting down automatically every 2 hours, etc.

i believe they said it will shut down every 2 hours, but i thought that was supposed to happen starting back in March already...?

Why do I doubt the veracity of this line?

Just install the damned thing already and save yourself some stress.

The RC will expire on June 1, 2010. Starting on March 1, 2010, your PC will begin shutting down every two hours. Windows will notify you two weeks before the bi-hourly shutdowns start. To avoid interruption, you’ll need to install a non-expired version of Windows before March 1, 2010. You’ll also need to install the programs and data that you want to use.

I would just install the full copy you have, you have had well enough time to do this.

start->search "anytime upgrade"->Enter an upgrade key, profit

I doubt you have to go the install route. may be wrong though, its worth a shot.

Sounds like you don't have the legit version waiting to be installed

It's not hard to get a legit copy, when windows 7 came out you could get a legit copy for $30 if you looked for deals, you can still get upgrade copys now days for $60 if you look for deals.

The RC is not a candidate for "upgrading" to the retail product. It requires a full reformat to get to the RTM product and does not qualify as a candidate for upgrade pricing.`

The Dell 730 in your sig has Vista Home Premium with it. Just grab Win 7 upgrade.
