Win 7 IE Search Provider Problem

So I've had a list of search providers setup now for many months, and all has
worked fine until now. I have 5 of them with Google at the top (1) and set
as default.

Yesterday, when doing a seach, I noticed that it no longer goes to
Google, but instead, to my local providers ISP, search page.
What?

If I try to remove Google, I can't because the remove button is grayed out.
Other providers can be added or removed, but not Google?

So, how do I fix this problem?

Have you tried going to internet options, and on the advanced tab selecting "reset" - resetting IE to default settings?
