These release notes say nothing about Windows 7, 8.1 or even 10 prior to 1709 getting high DPI support and I've not seen anything from Steam about such support.

It's part of the client under 'interface', there's nothing special about it. Most likely Windows 10 supports some form of fractional scaling, hence the need for the update - Personally I think fractal scaling is something best avoided if possible.

I'm just going by what the release notes say about Windows high DPI scaling working specifically only in Windows 10 1709 and higher. If there is support for this in older versions of Windows, I have no idea why Steam didn't mention it.

Hmm, KB4103721 just came out for me. Kept choosing to reboot and install from the shut down button and it would not install. Changed active hours so I would be outside of the hours and it still wouldn't work. Finally hit Restart within the Windows Update page and it installed.

Anyone else have issues like that?

I've think I've seen this issue once before but not with this update, it's been fine on 8 machines thus far.
