Why right?
I have a digital doc5 and it turns fans on based on temps. Only problem is it is 0 or 12v. So I figure I can use 2 zones on one fan for 2 temperature triggures.
Only thing I can think of is will it double the amperage or voltage if paralleled?
 
I had to take a couple looks at that, since it is not a very typical circuit. It's not every day you see 12V----/\/\/\/\----12V.

Assuming those two 12V lines are coming from the Doc, it will work. Beautifully. You have stumbled upon a very elegant solution to your problem. No worries about doubling your current or anything.

But resistors can't handle a fan. The resistor well just over heat then who knows whats.

Well, it all depends on how much current the fan draws. I built a computer for my in-laws with a 92mm fan, and put a plain resistor in series to quiet it down a bit. No problems yet--although it was a beefier (probably 1/2W) resistor.
 
No need to bring in a second 12V line. Just connect the switch around the resistor. Current will take the path of least resistance and the resistor will be ignored when the switch is on. When the switch is off and the path is broken, current will move through the resistor.
