I recently bought parts for two E2160 rigs (one for general use + folding, one for just folding). I also have a dell that I won't be using as much anymore. I was wondering if I could OC one of the E2160s with one of the new boards i bought to about 2.4GHz (9x266) and stick it back in the dell and have it be OC'ed? The reason is that I'd rather use my good OC boards for and E4300 and an E2160 as opposed to two E2160s.

My only concern is the dell mobo won't support 1066FSB It's an intel P965/G965.

Any ideas as to whether or not this will work?

Thanks.

Ummm... The CPUs dont "hold" an OC, that's up to the motherboard BIOS you plug it into.

Oh...alright. Well I've figured out a way to OC dells (http://www.starless.nl/overclock). I've been running orthos @ stock for over an hour and it hasn't gone much above 50C. Now my questions are:

Is that guide I linked to safe to use?
How much heat can E4300s sustain?

Thanks.

E4300s are good into the 60s for sure. Mine topped out at about 72C and I never had any problems with it at all.
