Will this work okay?

Hello,

I was just wondering.

If I setup my girlfriend's rig with this, would it work okay for The Sims + All expansion and The Sims 2?

Motherboard: Abit NF7-S
Processor: AMD Mobile XP 2400+ Overclocked with Zalman HSF
Ram: 512MB PC3200 Kingmax
Video Card: GeForce 4 Ti4600 Overclocked

Not looking to spend a lot for this rig because she rather have me spend that on the pay objects for the game and etc.

Also, the Video Card is a hand me down. I am using this as an excuse for me to upgrade to a 9800 Pro

Major question that I have is this. Will that CPU be good enough when overclocked given sufficient air cooling? Her setup right now is the old school socket 423 1.8GHZ P4 running with some generic Motherboard and 512MB of PC133! She doesn't really care much for BLAZING speed and have been satisfied by the performance of The Sims + Expansion Packs on my setup which consists of a P4 2.4 OCed at 3.0 with 1GB of PC2700, ABIT IC7, and the Ti4600.

Just wondering if the setup I have listed above for her will be a bit up to par with what I have currently.

Looking forward for some advice.

I'd say that her setup will be just about as good as yours and cost less money.

Personally, I would pick "her" up a GB if 3200 and put it in your box instead. Then give her your crappy 2700.

I was thinking about doing that man. If I was to OC one of the Mobile Chips right, what kind of multi and FSB am I looking at with PC2700?
