Alright, i have a xclio 500w SLI Goodpower PSU with 32a on the 12v. And on the box of this x1950pro it says minimum of 38a on the 12v and a 550w PSU. Im sure that this xclio psu will work but i need second opinions.

Rig:

e6300 - Will probably OC
2x74gb Raptors
1x250gb Sata drive
dvd burner
2gb of geli ram
diamond x1950pro pci-e
gigabyte ds3 mobo

I mainly need to know if the psu will work.

maybe, but only way to know is to try it. I don't think it will ruin anything.
If building a new rig anyways why not drop the cash on a psu you know will work?

That sounds like the requirements for running two 1950Pro's in Crossfire. Single card should only require 450 watts with 30a on the 12v rail.

sorry to be off topic but how common are psu's with 30A on the 12Vrail?

i've been looking at some 4-500W models from Antec and Silverstone etc and most only range between 16-18A. Even the 'SLI ready' 550W antec truepower 2 only has 19A on each 12V rail.

btw does anyone know the power requirement for a 7600gt and 6800gt?
