Will this PS support an nVidia 8800GT?

Hi Everyone,

I'm just wondering if this Power Supply, which I've been using for a few years now will support an nVidia 8800GT, probably either an eVGA or XFX.

Is that so? I was told that it was only marginal at best according to the minimum requirements outlined by nVidia.

Should be able to handle one. It looks kinda old though. It may not have a native PCIe connector. The 8800GT includes one though.

Whats the harm in buying a new psu? i used a crap psu on my 7900 and it killed the card.

The Zippy/Emacs mentioned here is not a crap PSU. Should power the 8800GT nicely, OP.
