will this memory hold back my OC???

I'm a total nub when it comes to OC'ing and am not sure where RAM comes into play as far as overclocking,

Frys has this ram:

89.99 for 3x2 gigs of ram seems like a good deal but if it's going to affect me overclocking my new system i'd rather pass.

Any suggestions or advice?

what system is this for? and yes they will hold your overclock back.. minimum you want ddr3 1333.. perferably ddr3 1600 which will give you more headroom.. but all depends on the system you are trying to overclock..

Once you get your system built it will all be worth it..

Anyway yeah go with ddr3 1333 at minimum. If you want some more help with parts put up a thread in general hardware. There's plenty of people in there who will give you a hand. Just make sure you answer the questions in the sticky first.

like he said.. or just go through the general hardware section and see what kind of systems people have put together.. will give you an idea of whats worth spending the money on depending on your budget..
