Will this handle my Tornados?

Just my opinion: item looks a bit gloopy.

My gut feeling says "yes," but it all depends on how many watts of power each tornado draws and how many watts each of the ports on the unit can supply. If you keep them all on separate ports, you could probably run them.

uggh im deaf with 1 tornado i think you need to go to a doctor if you have 3 of them. I use a fanbus and it works fine but I can tell when i turn down my other 3 fans to lowest rpm, the tornado's low rpm goes up 100 or 200 rpm. YOu can hear it.

Id say yes it will handle it but the full cranked may not be full but thats good for you

A tornado uses 9.1watts.

Each channel on that fanbus supports up to 10 watts.

According to the specs, the answer to your question is Yes.

But I wouldn't do it. I had a tornado burn out one of the pots in a fan controller (made by enermax also, smaller model).

The only fan controller I know of that will handle the Tornados is the Vantec Nexus (rated for 15-18W on each channel). The 8CM Tornado is 9.1W but the 9.2CM is 12.5!!!
If you can't find the specs for the wattage rating on the Enermax I wouldn't use it...if the Tornado(s) has too high of a wattage draw it can burn out the controllers & possibly shut down your fans....which would not be good w/ a cpu 'sink fan. Personally, I am using the Nexus w/ 2 120's and a 60mm TTake fan & it's a fine product, IMHO. It looks really k001 as well w/ the blue led's and all.... ;)

my suggestion: take a look at the vantec nexus fan controllers.. thats what I'm using for my tornado and it works great

one word as far as im concerned...Sunbeam, ive had mine for about 2 weeks now, and ive got 2 coolermaster rifle bearing fans on each channel plus a Tt fan on it and ive had absolutely NO complaints about it at all...btw it handles 20W per channel and i believe it. so it doesnt have a cool LCD display on it oh well, at least i can handle massive amounts of fans, ccfls, whatever i want with it ;)

that thing looks kickass IMO, but apparantly it cant support a lot...what Id do is resist the lines on the tornado anyway to drop some watts, then hook it up...you dont need 100% speed at any time really

Try emailing Enermax support and inquire as to what they can handle wattage-wise on the fan controller channels. ;)

Thatz why ur such a gawd... :p
IC where it supports 10W per channel, I overlooked that b4. That's not enuff for the 92mm Tornados...they draw 12.5 and they will burn the controllers out. The 80mm are, indeed, 9.1W and this controller should handle them, though, that's right @ the edge of what they support. IMHO, I'd go w/ the Nexus...it supports 15-18w per channel (plenty of headroom).
Plus the temp probes on the Enermax controllers (or any for that matter) are not gonna give super accurate readings. I.e., might as well trust the on mobo sensors, cause the accuracy is prolly, @ least, as trustworthy as the temp probes. ;)

Seconded. 2 tornadoes, 3 normal case fans, Antec PSU with 2 fans. . . Nexus keeps me sane.

does anyone know of a fan controller that can handle 2 delta 120mm fans pulling 3 amps at start up plus 4 tornado 80mm fans and 1 80 mm delta high air flow? Those are all my fans and I have been unable to find any thing that can withstand it sep. the 120's they pull 24 Watts a peice. and the delta 80 pulls 10 watts plus the 4 tornados

I have one tornado, and a TT smart fan on my CPU heatsink, one tornado in the front, one on the top, and a side 120mm giant - three tonados all together - hooked up to my Super Flower Fan Master - no problems.

Even at the minimum RPM's on the tornaods, they are more powerful than most generic 80mm fans.. And at the lowest setting, they are almost silent.

I love 'em.
