Hi all,

Im kinda new to the watercooling field but ive put a lot of time looking in to it.
This is what im planning to build:
-DB-1 Compact 12v
-Edge Acrylic CPU block
-High Flow Chrome Barb G1/4 - 3/8"
-High Grade Tubing 3/8"
-XSPC RS240 Black rad
-MicroRes Hi-Flo Reservoir

the loop goes:
Res --> pump --> rad(240) --> CPU --> GPU --> res

Will this be enough to cool a Q6600? I'm looking at getting it over 3.6ghz, probs about 1.48v.


Later im looking to add my ati 4870 to the loop.
Will this start to push the limits, how much will it increase my CPU temp by?

If its a lot then im thinking of adding a XSPC RS120 rad inbetween the CPU and GPU.

So are there any problems with this loop? What would the temps be?
 
You've got a lot of unorthodox parts in your loop... But I'll tell you right off the bat, that the DB-1 probably won't be enough for a good Q6600 and a 4870... And, if you want both your Q6600 and a 4870 in the loop, get at *least* a triple radiator... Or, of course, a double and a single or something similar.

What's this edge acrylic cpu block? I hav no experience with it, and I can't search for it at work.
 
I was told that the db-1 pump and the 2 blocks that im getting will work very well as the cpu block im getting is one of the lowest restrictive blocks on the mrket and the GPU block is also very low restriction.

I did a bit of messing around in photoshop and made my loop:

If i were to take the GPU block out of the loop, do you think it a Q6600 would stay under 30'c with only the 240 radiator?
